Today is Christmas Day,
Hope you have a merry time,
On this very special Winter's day!

Santa Claus has been and gone,
He left presents under the tree,
A reindeer left a hoof-print in the snow,
For all the little children to see!

The fairy lights are twinkling,
You’ve got a lovely piece of Christmas cake;
The dinner’s prepared and in the oven,
Now relax and take a break!

Sing lots of carols, eat loads of food,
Have a good old unwind,
And maybe even drink lots of booze,
If you feel that way inclined!

Whatever you do we/I hope you stay safe
And have a really wonderful time;
And here’s to a brilliant new Year’s Eve,
Seeing the old year off in style!
