We will never forget your cheery smile,

And your soft understanding brown eyes;
To see you stood in our doorway,
Was always such a nice surprise!

We've had lots of laughs, we've shared lots of tears,
You have been there in good times and bad;
So now that you've left us and gone up to heaven,
We can't help but feel very sad!

You are not going to be here any more,
But we have many fond memories,
That make us smile, and laugh, and cry,
So our grief may be relieved!

And now that you are with Grandma again,
You're bound to be happy for sure;
The tears that we cry are just for ourselves,
'Cause we won't see you any more!
